Summary
GloTech is a leading fluid machinery technology and product development company headquartered in South Florida. We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team as a highly capable individual contributor who can independently drive complex engineering work while also mentoring junior engineers.
The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and highly analytical, with demonstrated success delivering mechanical products from concept through production. This role requires strong technical depth, accountability, and reliability in executing engineering work with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design and development for new products, including concept creation, 3D modeling, engineering calculations, FEA/CFD interpretation, and detailed production drawings
Develop and validate engineering requirements, product specifications, test plans, and qualification protocols
Oversee prototype fabrication, performance testing, and design verification
Establish and uphold engineering standards, design review processes, and best practices
Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, ECOs, BOMs, and release packages in accordance with PDM workflows
Perform root‑cause analyses and implement design or process corrective actions
Work directly with operations, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve machining, casting, assembly, and production issues
Provide technical support to internal teams and customers on performance questions, field issues, and application‑specific engineering needs
Mentor junior engineers on design methodologies and engineering judgment while maintaining a strong focus on individual execution and deliverables
Provide technical leadership in planning, scheduling, and risk assessment for major engineering projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably involving rotating machinery, pumps, flow measurement devices, or complex mechanical systems
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (3D modeling, detailed drafting, PDM workflows)
Demonstrated capability in engineering calculations, FEA/CFD, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability
Proven track record as a reliable individual contributor capable of independently delivering high‑quality engineering work
Strong technical report writing and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, customers, and suppliers
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple concurrent projects
