Anesthesiologist Assistant – Sign‑on Bonus & Loan Repayment Eligible!
Join the Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital team as a skilled Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA). Working under the direction of a Staff Anesthesiologist, you will administer anesthesia, monitor the patient’s response, and manage emergency measures during surgery.
Location Weston, Broward County, just west of Fort Lauderdale (≈30 mi northwest of Miami; part of the Miami metropolitan area).

Responsibilities
Obtain comprehensive patient history and perform relevant physical exam elements.
Discuss findings and anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist before induction of anesthesia.
Review patient’s condition with anesthesiologist immediately prior to induction of anesthesia.
Pre‑test and calibrate anesthesia delivery systems.
Administer anesthetic drugs, adjuvant drugs and accessory drugs.
Assist anesthesiologist with implementation of monitoring techniques, epidural and spinal anesthetic procedures and other regional techniques.
Recognize and take appropriate action for abnormal patient responses during anesthesia, including resuscitation until patient regains vital functions.
Administer blood, blood products and supportive fluids. Provide post‑anesthesia recovery care for as long as necessary, keeping the anesthesiologist informed.
Display title of Anesthesiology Assistant to identify the individual’s authority to practice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Certifications
Baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited institution recognized by the board of regents.
Completion of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant training program (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or equivalent).
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AA).
Current, valid AA license in the state of Florida.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Written practice protocol consistent with section 4760.09 of the Revised Code.
Physical & Personal Requirements
Full range of motion; manual, finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
Standing and walking for extensive periods; ability to lift and transport patients.
Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
Ability to work under extreme pressure.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
