Years’ Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a Human Factors role, 4 years preferred
Work Schedule This position requires working 40 hours per week, onsite in Boston, MA, 4 days per week.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human‑machine systems and products.
Develop and implement research methodologies and statistical analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes.
Design and execute tests to simulate product use for concept selection/refinement, requirements development, and formal usability validation.
Interface with design engineers to establish system design, operating, and training requirements.
Identify and analyze technological problems or risks, perform theoretical human factors investigations, and develop research and analysis plans.
Career Stream and Differentiating Factors This position is part of the Specialist Career Stream, typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. The role involves delivering and managing projects, mentoring colleagues, and working independently under limited supervision. The candidate will contribute to the completion of work group objectives and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations on process improvements.
Communication and Leadership Effective communication with senior internal and external customers and vendors is essential. The role may involve providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees, and managing projects, requiring delegation and review of others' work product.
