Primary Purpose

Manage (indirect) Distribution and Transmission & Substation professionals who manage the construction of centrally managed projects. Oversee the construction process to meet scope of work, schedule, and budget, implement Standards of Practice for Construction and Program Management, monitor construction quality, and maintain a safe, diverse, high‑productivity environment. The position may require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Primary Duties & Accountabilities

Ensure all construction work meets standards, stays within budget and schedule, and assess risk to minimize adverse conditions – including managing challenging man‑hour estimates and participating in job walk‑downs (30%). Lead tasks performed by internal and external construction resources to maximize productivity, safety, quality, diversity, and cost savings. Review engineering design drawings and resolve constructability issues, field barriers, and delays (30%). Act as primary communicator between Project Management and work groups, controlling scope, dollars, clearance orders, and onsite materials. Lead job site walk‑downs, meetings with engineering, construction, and contract staff (15%). Monitor project safety, conduct weekly safety observations, verify job briefings, and perform Root Cause Investigations (RCI), Apparent Case Evaluations (ACE), or incident reviews. Review contractor QA, conduct audits, inspections, and surveillance; author Condition Reports (CRs). Coach Construction Management staff to support task completion, safety, and accountability (15%). Complete all required training and attend staff and project meetings, providing updates in UPPM (5%). Engage stakeholders to communicate project progress and challenges, lead safety briefings, and oversee site visits (5%). Job Scope

Manage construction spend for projects across multiple categories impacting Transmission and Distribution facilities, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget goals are met while implementing Standards of Practice and monitoring construction quality. Interact with senior management, managers, employees, and customers on a regular basis. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4–7 years of Transmission and/or Distribution construction experience, or high school diploma and 6–9 years of related experience. Knowledge of Project Management concepts or principles. Strong understanding of the company’s and OSHA safety guidelines and regulations. Project Management experience. Good written and oral communication skills. Proven analytical experience. Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster culture change. Demonstrated business acumen, customer awareness, and ability to create value. Required certifications within the first year include Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) and Osha 30. Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering large‑dollar project construction and maintenance. Knowledge of PASSPORT and AS8. Previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of the Bargaining Unit Agreement(s) as it impacts construction of projects and the workforce. Benefits

Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $88,000.00/Yr. – $121,000.00/Yr.
