We are seeking a full-time EHRM Construction Project Manager at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, FL. The Construction Project Manager will assist in the Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) initiative in cooperation with architects, engineers, and construction contractors.
Requirements
Manage all phases of assigned construction projects
Coordinate with design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and clients
Provide expert-level project and / or construction management consultation
Support Government inspection and quality assurance teams
Track project schedules; identify delays and implement corrective actions
Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and inspection records
Use construction management software for scheduling, tracking, reporting, and documentation
Job Specific Requirements Qualifications - Specific Education
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university
Substitution: 14 years of directly related construction project management experience in lieu of degree
Professional Experience
Minimum 10 years managing facility construction projects
Experience in:
Supervision of engineering, design, and construction teams
Schedule control and progress tracking
Cost management and budgeting
Full project lifecycle management
Strong understanding of construction documents and coordination
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Functional Responsibility
Manage technical quality, schedule, and cost across projects
Provide expert consultation across technical and personnel matters
Maintain oversight through daily reports, inspections, and stakeholder engagement
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, PE, RA) are a plus
Communication, Language, and Software Skills
Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills
