Description The Structural Engineer-in-Training I works on projects, under the direction of Project Engineer(s) and Group Leader, to perform design and documentation tasks while gaining experience toward their professional license (PE) and growth into a Project Engineer role.
Essential Functions
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to produce structural construction documents.
Perform hand calculations and utilize structural software for design and analysis tasks.
Perform surveying and documentation of existing conditions.
Develop structural sections and details.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration, or Architectural Engineering, or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering
E.I.T. (or qualified to sit for E.I.T.)
Technical knowledge of engineering principles and their application to the design and analysis of structural systems
Familiarity with building codes and material design codes as they relate to structural engineering
0 to 3 years' experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
Microsoft Office Suite
Basic computer skills
