Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant: Maintain and update standard or average inventory costs
Reconcile cost-related accounts, including GRNI
Support month-end close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold
Prepare cost, margin, and variance analysis to support decision-making
Partner with finance and operations on reporting and special projects
Qualifications of the Cost Accountant: 3+ years of experience in cost accounting (manufacturing or distribution environment preferred)
Strong understanding of inventory costing methods and reconciliations
Hands-on experience supporting month-end close
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
ERP system experience (SAGE experience is a plus)
