Only Immediate joiners OR not longer than 30 days’ Notice Period Job Description: The Senior Network and Security Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the organization’s network and security infrastructure across multiple platforms. This role focuses on advanced configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of firewalls, load balancers, VPN solutions, and monitoring systems to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in F5, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco ASA, and Juniper SRX, and can lead complex operational and troubleshooting tasks within enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks, FortiGate, Cisco ASA, and Juniper SRX firewalls, including centralized management via Panorama.

Manage F5 BIG-IP systems, including LTM and ASM modules for load balancing and application security.

Perform policy configuration, NAT, routing, VPN setup, and SSL inspection across all supported security platforms.

Conduct ongoing monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization of network and security infrastructure.

Manage VPN solutions including Pulse Secure, Site-to-Site VPNs, and Remote Access VPNs, ensuring secure and stable connectivity for users and partners.

Maintain configuration backups, change documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to implement secure and scalable connectivity designs.

Operate and maintain HP Network Node Manager (NNM) and HP Network Automation (NA) for proactive monitoring, configuration management, and fault resolution.

Lead the troubleshooting of routing, switching, and network security issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid incident response.

Perform packet analysis using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and built-in device diagnostics.

Analyze incident trends and contribute to continuous improvement of network reliability and security posture.

Utilize network and security monitoring systems to detect anomalies, threats, and performance degradation.

Ensure compliance with internal security frameworks and industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).

Participate in audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation planning.

Required Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT security

Proven expertise with:

Centralized Management: Panorama

VPN Solutions: Pulse Secure, Site-to-Site, Remote Access VPNs

Technical Skills:

In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP), switching (VLANs, STP, trucking), and NAT/VPN concepts.

Strong knowledge of network segmentation, zero-trust, and secure remote access architectures.

Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) and REST APIs.

Familiarity with IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, and threat detection tools.

Exposure to cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, OCI) is a plus.

Strong command of network security architecture and threat modeling.

Recommended Certifications:

Palo Alto PCNSE, F5 CTS-CA or CTS-LTM, Fortinet NSE4+, or Cisco CCNP Security.

ITIL Foundation or equivalent operational process knowledge.
