The position is a remote/telework role, although full-day attendance at the client location in Camp Springs, MD may be required a few times a month; local candidates are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities Prepares big data and implements analytics models using SQL and Python within a Databricks data environment. Work with various types of data to develop, maintain and enhance reports, analysis and models
Responsible for data mining, data preparation, data profiling and reporting and may lead independently or as part of a team to deliver data or analytic products
Conduct both qualitative and quantitative service operations research using client data, formulate hypotheses, test them and present the results in a clear and concise manner
Applies knowledge to determine the accuracy and reasonableness of the data, recommendations, and solutions proposed
Documents and summarizes the results and develops and recommended solutions to the customer’s problems. Prepare and conduct analyses and studies, needs/gaps assessments
Use advanced statistical techniques to identify and measure trends, anomalies, forecast future values and determine other relevant insight
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment and must exhibit hyper attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to gather and interpret large amounts of data and information and quickly recognize what is superfluous and what is relevant using analytical and statistical techniques
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to mathematics, economics, data science, statistics, or computer science
Preferred 1-3 years of experience in data analysis using SQL, Python
Strong SQL skills, and ability to identify issues with data
Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based distributed database technologies
Experience with Tableau, or PowerBI
Demonstrated experience with cleaning, management, optimizing performance and processing large volumes of data
Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
Ability to gather and interpret large amounts of data and information and quickly recognize what is superfluous and what is relevant using analytical and statistical techniques
Proficient written, verbal, and client communication and presentation skills
Must be a United States Citizen and must be able to clear a Public Trust
Nice to have prior experience with USCIS or immigration
