Overview

The communications and social media specialist will be responsible for creating a variety of written, visual and digital communications to help promote the school of nursing, advance its mission and strategic plan, and build community. These will include news and feature stories, e‑newsletters and other publications, and web content.

Responsibilities

Manage the school's social media accounts, working with the communications director to develop and execute a social media content strategy. Grow the audience and leverage the platform to promote the school and the work of its faculty, staff, and students. Closely monitor social media metrics to measure success and adapt the strategy as needed.

Qualifications

Sound editorial judgment and the ability to create well‑written, effective communications. Adapt communication styles and tones for different audiences and needs. Experience with video production is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $154,600 (Annual Rate).
