Eastern Staffing and Recruiting is recruiting for a luxury hotel who is seeking a meticulous and service-oriented Public Area Attendant/Janitor to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience. This role focuses on maintaining pristine public spaces, ensuring that every area reflects the elegance and excellence our guests expect.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and impeccable appearance of lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, and restrooms
• Polish marble, glass, metal, and other luxury surfaces according to hotel standards
• Vacuum and maintain carpets and rugs, ensuring they remain spotless and presentable
• Regularly monitor high-traffic areas to ensure they remain flawless throughout the day
• Clean and disinfect luxury restroom facilities with precision and care
• Restock premium toiletries, towels, and other amenities
• Perform cleaning duties subtly and efficiently to avoid disturbing guests
• Offer polite assistance when approached, maintaining a warm, professional demeanor
• Report maintenance issues immediately, including lighting, fixtures, upholstery, or décor concerns
• Perform minor tasks such as replacing bulbs, adjusting signage, or organizing furniture as needed
• Maintain staff areas, service corridors, and equipment rooms in clean, orderly condition
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked, organized, and handled according to safety standards

Requirements

• Previous hotel or custodial experience preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a calm, polished presence
• Strong physical stamina; ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

The estimated hourly range for this position is $16/hr., though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
