CCI Mechanical, LLC is expanding its workforce and is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to manage on‑site mechanical projects and oversee teams (foremen, tradespeople) to install, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, and machinery systems while ensuring safety, quality, and project timelines.
The position reports to our office located in Holt, FL.
Required Responsibilities
Direct, supervise, coordinate, and schedule all mechanical construction activities across multiple projects. Manage and lead mechanical crews, foremen, and subcontractors; provide training, mentoring, and performance management. Serve as primary liaison among project management, owners, inspectors, AHJs, subcontractors, and internal teams. Plan and execute projects from pre‑construction through commissioning, including participation in pre‑construction conferences and inspection meetings. Develop and maintain project schedules; provide input on baseline schedules to meet milestones. Oversee budget and cost control; support monthly progress billing. Ensure work is consistent with contract documents, specifications, engineering drawings, and local building codes. Provide technical oversight, interpret drawings, resolve field issues, and support system commissioning. Implement and enforce site safety and quality control programs per OSHA regulations and company policies. Coordinate daily field activities with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety & Health Officer. Manage logistics and materials, including ordering, deliveries, staging, and equipment usage. Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings, owner meetings, and other required project meetings. Maintain accurate daily records; prepare and communicate project status to management and stakeholders. Identify and resolve project risks, schedule impacts, and field conflicts to maintain productivity and safety. Minimum Qualifications
Strong self‑motivation with punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance. 10–20 years of experience in similar construction projects, including building renovations and new construction (government and/or secure facilities preferred). Experience managing USACE and/or NAVFAC government construction projects. Proven ability to solve problems independently and adapt quickly to changing conditions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated leadership capabilities. Extensive experience with HVAC, chilled and heating water systems, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, wastewater treatment, and related infrastructure. Strong working knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and best practices. Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, specifications, and submittal data. General knowledge of multiple trades, including building construction, insulation, control systems, fire alarm, fire suppression, and electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project teams simultaneously. Proficiency with project management and documentation tools (Procore, RMS, Microsoft Word/Excel, PDF tools, MS Project). OSHA 30‑hour certification required. Benefits
