About the Role
Immediate need for a talented SQL Developer. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity with long‑term potential and is located in Pennington, NJ/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). We are looking for an experienced developer to lead database development, performance optimization, and ETL integration for a leading financial client.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $70.00/hr – $72.00/hr. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Responsibilities
Database Development & Design Leadership: Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of MS SQL Server (2012 and above) databases using advanced T‑SQL, including complex stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, cursors, tables, indexes, and partitioned tables, ensuring scalable and efficient data architecture to support mission‑critical reporting and dashboard needs.
Performance Optimization & Data Integrity: Perform intensive SQL query optimization, tuning, troubleshooting, and large‑scale data processing to ensure high performance and reliability, including database backup, restore, log shipping, and mirroring strategies, while maintaining data accuracy through robust validation and transformation techniques.
ETL, Integration & Automation: Develop and manage ETL pipelines using SSIS and Autosys to ingest and transform data from multiple upstream systems and file formats (XML, CSV, etc.), support automated scheduling, enable seamless data movement across platforms, and support reporting through SSRS, Tableau, and C# scripting.
Requirements
7–10 years of SQL Developer experience in database development.
8 years of SQL experience.
5 years of ETL experience.
5 years of SSIS experience.
Key Skills: SQL, T‑SQL, SSIS, ETL.
