Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Regional Campus Recruitment Strategies and Initiatives, the Assistant Director coordinates event logistics and supports campus event planning across the Newark, Lima, Mansfield, and Marion campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Buckeye Preview Day events on each campus, Buckeye Bound yield events or receptions, and the annual counselor visit program.
Supervise two professional staff on the visits and events team, provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Plan and execute other program-specific events, such as engineering technology outreach, ensuring alignment with established plans.
Manage logistical aspects for campus outreach and recruitment events for prospective and admitted students, families, and counselors.
Enter and maintain student information, call/email activity, and event attendance in Salesforce, PeopleSoft, and Blackthorn registration systems.
Serve as expert on Blackthorn, troubleshooting and updating the platform.
Collect and review event surveys, providing timely feedback to the Director and stakeholders.
Prepare and adhere to event budgets, monitoring expenses, supplies, and publication costs.
Coordinate event location reservations and lead logistical support with academic and staff partners.
Provide exemplary customer service to students, families, and stakeholders regarding Ohio State visit and event needs.
Assist in overseeing day-to-day admissions office activities and recruitment events at the Newark campus.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3 years experience in higher education or related; managerial/supervisory experience; excellent writing and communication; data interpretation and report presentation skills.
Desired:
Master’s degree; event program planning and implementation experience; familiarity with PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and Blackthorn.
Additional Information
Location:
Hodges Hall (0628), Newark campus.
Position Type:
Regular.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, First Shift.
Salary Range:
$55,700 – $64,200.
Background Check:
Final candidates may be required to complete a background check, drug screen, or physical.
