Base Pay Range: $150,000 – $160,000 per year
About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Financial Controller to join our global manufacturing client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial health of the company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of financial control, budgeting, forecasting, and return on investment (ROI) analysis, as well as experience with job costing and cost variances. This role requires a strong understanding of financial law and risk‑management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Support month‑end and year‑end close process.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Perform additional controller duties as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Financial Controller with 5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or CMA preferred.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience creating financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and month‑end/year‑end close process.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
Hands‑on experience with budgeting and risk management.
Proficiency in financial software.
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
Leadership skills and experience.
Employee management skills.
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
