Overview We are seeking an Emergency Medicine PA to join our team at Westerly Hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Health system. The role involves assessing, triaging, and managing patients in the Emergency Department within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the process.
Work in collaboration with supervising physicians in accordance with state law, hospital regulations, policies, protocols, and clinical pathways.
Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic and therapeutic tests, and formulate and manage patient treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on care, including admitting instructions, treatment plans, potential side effects, and discharge plans.
Provide psychosocial support to patients, families, and significant others in a caring and professional manner.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Emergency Department experience preferred; recent graduates with appropriate exposure considered.
Active, unrestricted CT medical license or in process of obtaining.
ACLS/BLS certification as required.
DEA license.
