Overview

The Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) are licensed providers. The NP/PA is responsible for assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical. This includes diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, the development of appropriate care plans, and ongoing evaluation. Additional duties may include precepting a small group of learners. Patient Care Requirement

Yes Essential Functions

Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings. Performs complete histories and physical examinations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures. Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation—including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries. Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population. Education

Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required. Licenses and Credentials

Physician Assistant [State License] – Generic – HR only OR Nurse Practitioner [State License] – Generic – HR only required. Experience

2 years of experience as an NP or PA required. Preferred Experience

3+ years of experience working as an NP/PA in cardiology and/or heart failure strongly preferred. Equal Opportunity Employer
