Responsibilities We’re looking for a Director, eCommerce‑Account Management to lead marketplace strategy for two key CPG clients across Amazon and Chewy, with a primary focus on Amazon. This role requires deep expertise in Amazon’s ecosystem, including retail media, content optimization, measurement, and advanced tools. You will set the vision and ensure best‑in‑class performance across both retailers in the dynamic ecommerce landscape.

This is a hybrid office role, requiring 3 days in office in a commutable distance to Publicis New York or Seattle offices, working the hours of eastern time zone.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Influence client annual plans and strategy by bringing forward‑looking marketplace expertise that evolves how brands win on Amazon and Chewy.

Plan and support holistic organic and paid efforts, including planning of SEO, GEO, upper and lower funnel turnkey and custom retail media programs.

Provide thought leadership, contributing to and positively impacting clients’ way of doing business with their key retailers on an ongoing basis.

Act as a change agent/impact player from both an internal and external perspective – contributing to both client and agency performance.

Lead innovation through test and learn programs, applying AI, agentic commerce, and automation capabilities to enhance shopper experiences, optimize workflows and deliver market‑leading results.

Build strong relationships with clients, retailers, and the IAT while working closely with cross‑functional teams across Publicis including eCommerce, Strategic Planning, Media, Data & Analytics, and Creative.

Establish KPIs and measure performance results using agency and client‑provided data, crafting, presenting and actioning recommendations.

Continue building knowledge base, upskilling, and making connections to further personal and business growth.

Potential for direct management and mentoring of Managers, Specialists or other team members.

Some travel required.

SKILL SETS REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or related field

Minimum 8 years of ecommerce experience, with proven expertise in Amazon marketplace and on‑demand delivery channel.

Proven experience operating with the Amazon ecosystem, including Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) and DSP, Sponsored Ads (Search, Display, Video), advanced retail analytics and measurement, and digital shelf and agentic shelf readiness.

Strong understanding of Amazon’s retail ecosystem and familiarity with Chewy.

Demonstrated expertise and curiosity in AI and Agentic commerce, with ability to apply emerging tools to improve shopper experiences, measurement and operational efficiency.

Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Leadership experience managing teams and driving organizational change.

Deep industry expertise across digital and agentic commerce, CPG, and retailer ecosystems, with a proven ability to apply strategic thinking to complex ecommerce challenges.

Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a deep sense of accountability, creative thinking, and a desire to collaborate and step in for the good of the team and the agency.

Compensation Compensation Range: $127,585 - $200,790 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
