– San Jose, CA – Contract Position
Job Duties
Basic understanding of data center operations and cabling
Follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team
Physically install server racks, rack/stack, and break/fix equipment
Troubleshoot network connectivity, Windows hardware, and software
Remove network cables during data center decommissioning
Use ticketing system for documentation and tracking
Unbox, move, and stage data center accessories for deployments
Conduct physical audits of data center assets
QC cabling and labeling according to standards
Handle complex RMA and swap parts
Scope, test, QC, and troubleshoot power and cable connections
Qualifications
1–3+ years of data center technician experience
Experience with rack/stack and cabling (fiber, copper, Cat5/6)
Experience in decommissioning and swapping parts
Must be able to work 100% onsite
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Pay and Benefits Pay: $34.00/hr (fixed rate)
