Role Overview The Director of Media Sales will be responsible for developing and closing new business opportunities across Better Collective’s U.S. media properties. The role requires strong commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to package and sell digital, social, and creator-led content to brands and agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and close new business across PlaymakerHQ, Action Network, and The Nation Network
Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close branded content and media deals across digital, social, and creator-led platforms
Build strong relationships with brands and agencies while managing a structured territory and revenue pipeline
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across content, production, talent, and marketing to package compelling commercial programs
Candidate Requirements
7+ years of experience in media sales, partnerships, digital advertising, sponsorships, or sports entertainment sales
Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline
Experience selling across digital media, social content, and creator-driven campaigns
Proven track record of closing deals and building long-term partnerships
Confident presenter, strong negotiator, and strategic thinker
Existing brand and agency relationships in sports, entertainment, lifestyle, gaming, or CPG categories are a plus
Compensation
Base salary range:
$150,000 – $200,000 per year , plus competitive commission structure tied to quarterly revenue performance
