Job Description

Metro's Speech Department continues to grow, and we are looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in Nassau County. Strong Clinical Fellow applicants with experience in treating adults and dysphagia are encouraged to apply. The position is hybrid, with 2 full days in our Bellmore Outpatient Clinic & 3 days providing homecare throughout Nassau County with an expectation of only 6 homecare visits per day. Sessions are set at 45 minutes to account for travel time between cases. Caseload demographics include Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, TBI, Voice, Cognitive Communication Disorders, AAC use, etc. Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible. Initial TSSLD Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan. Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care. Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course) Additional Information
