Summary
The Jennings School District is seeking an Executive Director of School Leadership who is responsible for assisting the superintendent in supervising schools, implementing innovative practices and establishing and expanding effective school partnerships. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to identifying and implementing transformational systemic district practices, supervising secondary principals, facilitating staff development for leaders and support staff and supervising student services.

Essential Functions
Assists the superintendent with identifying research and best practices in urban educational leadership and implementing innovative practices in urban education.
Serves as the district spokesperson as needed for public relations events.
Collaborates with the superintendent on district instructional and community relations matters.
Leads innovative practices for urban education and acts as the superintendent’s designee at educational conferences, superintendent’s meetings, legislative sessions, and at public relations events when necessary.
Oversees implementation of effective school and home partnerships with social workers, district discipline hearing officers, and with safety and security.
Collaborates with building administration to provide effective professional development.
Assists the superintendent in implementing the district’s leadership academy and acts as a liaison between the district and urban leadership training programs.
Monitors secondary accreditation points and assists the superintendent in ensuring targeted MSIP 5 points are obtained at each secondary school.
