Overview
CGI Federal is seeking outgoing, experienced Support Associates for a Level IV position that supports government staff and performs accounting functions, prepares letters, reports, and specialized correspondence. The role is located in our Walnut Creek, CA office with work performed at a client site in Seattle, WA.
The position involves handling highly sensitive and confidential information; frequent lifting of up to 45 lbs, standing, and walking are required.
Responsibilities
Prepare and mail envelopes with correct passport and supporting documents.
Box and archive files for storage purposes.
Interface with passport applicants at agency counters: schedule appointments, review applications and documents for completeness, ensure compliance with passport requirements.
Operate scanning, image‑review, book print, quality control, and metering mail equipment.
Print passports at a rate of 50–65 per hour on a four‑printer pod, review printed books for accuracy.
Process refund/reimbursement requests and generate credit card payments for the cashier’s office.
Participate in customer service outreach activities.
Assist with acceptance agent training: prepare materials, conduct meet‑and‑greet events, set‑up training sessions, conduct office tours.
Help maintain and catalog electronic records of passport acceptance facilities.
Distribute newsletters and correspondence to staff.
Contact applicants to request necessary documents.
Generate correspondence to resolve application discrepancies (return to sender, rewrites, re‑issues, re‑batch).
Ensure application data is recorded accurately into DOS systems.
Handle complaint letters and phone calls.
Qualifications
Ability to remain flexible and adapt under pressure while following instructions and procedures.
Capacity for repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
Bachelor’s Degree or four years as a Support Associate Level II/III, or four years of high‑volume data entry experience.
Four years of general office experience, including at least three years using Microsoft Office.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Government Level clearance.
Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $25.66 per hour.
