Job Description The City seeks an adaptable candidate for the Police Officer Lateral/Academy Graduate position. Responsibilities include:
Patrol and related duties to prevent crime, protect life and property, and enforce law.
Apply community policing strategies to prevent juvenile crime and delinquency.
Prepare cases and testify in court.
Provide information and assistance to the public.
Perform specialized administrative or investigative work as assigned.

Be a collaborative, inclusive, and encouraging team member.
Adaptable and able to work under stressful or difficult conditions.

Presently employed by a California law enforcement agency as a peace officer or a graduate of a California POST Police Academy.
Bilingual is highly desirable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid California Driver's License with satisfactory driving record by time of appointment.
Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Academy Graduate Basic certificate.
CPR certificate within six months of appointment.
Successfully complete all phases of pre‑employment testing.
