Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth)
Jerry.ai, a pre‑IPO startup with $240M in funding and 60X revenue growth, is seeking a Director to scale our core insurance business.
About the Opportunity In this high‑visibility role you will report directly to the VP of Insurance Operations and own the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. Working cross‑functionally with product, engineering and analytics you will create a seamless user experience and ensure ongoing carrier success to drive critical outcomes for our insurance marketplace, including loss ratio, retention and conversion.
Responsibilities
Scale the quoting engine from 5M to 50M customers to help the company grow to $10B.
Build and maintain the automation infrastructure that powers the marketplace.
Drive carrier performance, operating efficiency and revenue impact through data‑driven decision making.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering and analytics teams to align strategy and execution.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, etc).
7+ years of management consulting experience from a top firm (McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting Group).
Track record of hiring and managing high‑performing teams.

You are comfortable communicating with audiences ranging from technical stakeholders and business partners to the company’s C‑suite.

Compensation and Benefits The starting pay will be within the range listed on this posting, determined by job‑related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. Compensation may include base salary, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, a 401(K) plan with employer matching and additional wellness benefits. Equity opportunities may also be part of your total rewards package. Part‑time, contract or freelance roles may not be eligible for certain benefits.
