Responsibilities

Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by performing a variety of routine and intensive therapy, diagnostic procedures and patient assessments in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Maintains and stocks respiratory equipment and ensures ventilator and life support equipment are operable. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Adapts to multiple and changing priorities. Possesses basic computer skills and customer service skills. Identifies and addresses the needs of the population served. Have a minimum of 0–1 year full‑time experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting. Benefits

Graduation from an approved two‑year respiratory therapist program. Licensed by the District of Columbia Health Regulation. Licensed as an RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist and certified by NBRC. Licensed as a CRT Certified Respiratory Therapist or RRT (to become registered within a year). Registered Respiratory Therapist and approved by NBRC. BLS Basic Life Support for Health Care Professionals required. ACLS and PALS within six months of hire. Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment. Strong organizational and attention to detail. EEO Statement
