Quarles & Brady LLP seeks an associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic national Intellectual Property group practice as an IP Litigation attorney. An undergraduate degree or an advanced degree in a technological or scientific field is preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate would have experience, or a strong interest in developing experience, in representing clients in all stages of patent, trademark, trade secrets, and other intellectual property litigation. Examples of relevant experience include:
Early case assessment and investigations, including accused products and prior art analysis
Drafting invalidity and infringement claim charts and assisting with contentions
Drafting pleadings and motions, including handling related meet-and-confers
Preparing and responding to written discovery and working with e-discovery tools and vendors
Managing complex discovery and discovery negotiationsPreparing claim construction briefs and hearing materials
Working with experts on reports and testimony
Preparing deposition outlines and exhibits
The candidate must have a very strong academic record as well as outstanding organizational, communication and writing skills. Qualified applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript and writing sample.
