Intellectual Property Litigation Associate
Quarles & Brady LLP seeks an associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic national Intellectual Property group practice as an IP Litigation attorney. An undergraduate degree or an advanced degree in a technological or scientific field is preferred but not required.
Office Locations:
Denver, Madison, Milwaukee, Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
Early case assessment and investigations, including accused products and prior art analysis
Drafting invalidity and infringement claim charts and assisting with contentions
Drafting pleadings and motions, including handling related meet‑and‑confers
Preparing and responding to written discovery and working with e‑discovery tools and vendors
Managing complex discovery and discovery negotiations
Preparing claim construction briefs and hearing materials
Working with experts on reports and testimony
Preparing deposition outlines and exhibits
Qualifications
Very strong academic record
Outstanding organizational, communication and writing skills
Experience or strong interest in representing clients in all stages of patent, trademark, trade secrets, and other intellectual property litigation
Submissions required: cover letter, resume, law school transcript and writing sample
Benefits & Compensation Quarles offers competitive salaries, bonus, and great benefits to employees including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, disability and much more. Benefit eligibility is dependent on hours. Compensation for associates ranges from $175,000 to $280,000 per year.
