Civil Litigation Attorney
Location: Seattle, WA
Job Overview Join a small growing civil litigation firm in downtown Seattle. This is a full‑time, in‑office role with low billable requirement and full benefit package.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00 – $245,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
Represent clients in all stages of civil litigation, including pretrial motions, hearings, depositions, trials, and appeals.
Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
Conduct comprehensive case assessments to identify legal issues, evaluate merits, and develop strategies.
Manage discovery, including taking depositions, interrogating witnesses, and gathering/analyzing evidence.
Advocate in court, presenting evidence, making legal arguments, and examining witnesses.
Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes cost‑effectively.
Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress.
Stay informed on legal developments relevant to clients' cases and comply with all legal standard and regulations.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar association.
8+ years of experience in civil litigation, ideally with a strong record of handling cases from motion to trial.
Employment law experience preferred.
Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and writing.
Extensive experience in court appearances, depositions, hearings, and trials.
Strong negotiation, advocacy, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Proficiency using legal software for case management, document review, and trial presentation.
