Construction Project Engineer – Innovative Project Solutions
The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of a project, including estimating, bidding, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, budget development, and invoicing.
The candidate will drive efficient and timely completion schedules with utmost professionalism.
This is a full‑time position located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
Interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications
Communicate clearly and effectively with subcontractors, architects, inspectors, and other team members
Maintain a strong positive team environment between all project members
Manage, orchestrate, monitor, and document all site activities on a daily basis
Create and manage the change order process and log
Assist in creating schedules and short‑term project look‑ahead schedules
Assist in creating and managing submittal and procurement logs
Assist in reviewing and processing shop drawings
Schedule all on‑site activities and site inspections
Manage project changes on site and distribute current project information to all trades
Maintain project information on site in an organized manner
Assist in layout and coordination of tradesmen on site
Assist in the coordination of design, engineering, and for‑site utilities
Assist in creating and managing requests for information
Assist in managing punch‑lists and project close‑out documentation
Education & Experience
1-5 years of proven experience at a design/build or construction related field
Project Management Certification (PMP, MPM, etc.) preferred but not required
Construction Management, Architectural or Engineering degree preferred but not required
Required Competencies
Excellent leadership, organizational, and team communication/presentation skills
Field experience is a plus
Desire to develop comfort in interfacing with clients
Passion for construction project management, architecture, and design
Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving ability in a fast‑paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft suite including Excel and MS Project
Location San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Remote possible)
Salary $85,000 – $95,000 per year (plus benefits)
