Position Summary The Senior Landman will focus primarily on surface operations in the Permian Basin. This individual is well‑rounded in all aspects of Landman proficiencies with a desire to be an influential advisor to the business as we position ourselves for growth. Salary commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate is in Midland or Houston, TX and reports to the Vice President, Land.

Essential Job Duties

Demonstrates expert level Landman skills that contribute to business opportunities and enhances processes.

Collaborates across business disciplines to drive company initiatives and achieve objectives within budgetary guidelines.

Builds and maintains relationships with landowners and/or their legal representatives to successfully negotiate agreements.

Collaborates and provides guidance to support staff in preparation of all forms of land agreements and contracts and ensures maintenance of internal Land Records.

Handles advanced tasks associated with surface land operations.

Interprets, negotiates, and prepares surface land related contracts such as ROW, Easements, Surface Use Agreements, Well Site Agreements, Off Lease Locations and Subsurface Easement Agreements and other related documents accurately and timely.

Interacts and provides asset team with high‑level land support and information critical to ongoing commercial and construction projects.

Orders take‑off, abstracts, and surface title opinions.

Manages clearing title for upcoming projects.

Collaborates with Legal as needed in preparation of complex and non‑standard type contracts.

Collaborates with BD for expansion projects.

Conducts due diligence in connection with acquisitions and divestiture of properties.

Mentors and develops support staff.

Visits field sites as needed.

Adheres to company guidelines and safety policies and practices.

Participates in other assigned duties and projects based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

10 years of experience as a Landman.

In‑house Landman experience.

Experience working in the Permian Basin, with an emphasis on the Delaware Basin.

Versatile and adaptable for growth.

Strong negotiation skills.

Able to problem‑solve and make necessary business recommendations.

Able to perform high‑level land functions with limited direction and supervision.

Able to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance‑driven environment.

Strong communication and inter‑personal skills with a team‑oriented attitude.

Experience working with Google Earth, KMZs and/or comparable mapping software.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Proficient in Quorum ODL or comparable system.

Able to operate a vehicle to field sites with a good standing motor vehicle record.

Must be able to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

AAPL Certified Professional Landman.

E&P small/start‑up market experience.

Equipment Used

Computer/Laptop/Tablet.

Desk and cell phone.

Multi‑purpose copier/printer and plotter printers.

Standard office supplies.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Standard office environment.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and work on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Able to travel and abides by safety guidelines at field sites.
