Base pay range $150,000.00/yr – $165,000.00/yr

Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) are trained healthcare professionals whose primary role is to exchange scientific and medical information between the company and the medical community. MSLs cultivate and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and provide scientific support for company products. They must maintain scientific expertise, knowledge of clinical applications of company products, and medical treatment guidelines. MSLs remain current on clinical knowledge and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. This position is field‑based and part of the Parenteral Nutrition medical affairs team.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain healthcare professional relationships with physicians and other clinicians to provide scientific exchange per predefined targets and objectives and to ensure the safe and effective use of company products.
Prepare and regularly update educational materials and presentations to support scientific exchange externally related to company products.
Respond appropriately and timely to unsolicited requests for off‑label product information in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Provide appropriate medical and scientific support to healthcare professionals and investigators for publications and clinical trials related to company products, supporting data generation and deeper medical understanding. Collaborate with Global Medical, Clinical, & Regulatory Affairs in the management of U.S.‑based clinical trials.
Evaluate clinical proposals of investigator‑initiated trials for company sponsorship in accordance with pre‑established medical objectives and strategies, regulatory guidance, and company policies.
Provide training as required to internal company personnel.
Collaborate with Global Vigilance Department and Global Quality & Compliance Department regarding product adverse events and complaints per company procedure.
Requirements
Advanced degree in a clinical or scientific discipline (e.g., Ph.D. with 5+ years of transferrable experience, MD with 5+ years of clinical experience, PharmD with 5+ years of pharmacy experience, or advanced‑practice provider such as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Advanced Registered Dietitian with 5+ years of clinical experience).
Knowledge of parenteral nutrition.
1+ years of experience as a medical science liaison preferred.
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and write scientific documents.
Excellent presentation and communication skills; capacity to translate complex clinical information into concise verbal and written content.
Proficiency with virtual platforms and electronic shared databases.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and clinical trial design processes.
Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including reimbursement and access to pharmaceutical therapies.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory, legal and compliance standards.
Position requires 40–70% travel, including overnight stays. A valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
Additional Information Salary range: $150,000 – $165,000 per year.
Final pay determinations depend on experience, education, skills, and other factors.
