A privately backed oil and gas operator is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst to join its team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who wants broad exposure across an energy company with a lean, collaborative structure. The analyst will work closely with teams across Finance, Accounting, Land, Engineering, and senior leadership, gaining hands‑on experience in strategic and operational decision‑making while strengthening analytical, financial modeling, and business skills and contributing directly to asset evaluation, planning and execution in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the acquisitions and divestitures team to evaluate potential investments and development opportunities
Develop and enhance processes that integrate market, operational and public data into internal financial analysis
Create presentation materials and supporting documentation for internal reviews, valuations and external stakeholders
Support FP&A initiatives through financial modeling, forecasting and analysis using operational data and reserve information
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve analytical workflows and reporting tools
Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn industry-specific financial and accounting systems
Strong initiative, work ethic and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams
Demonstrated interest in the oil and gas or broader energy industry
