Cost Analyst, AWS AI/ML Supply Chain

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

We keep the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable customers to continuously access their innovation.

The team tackles challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re seeking talented people who want to help.

Key Job Responsibilities

Operate as the single threaded owner from supply chain for rolling up material costs for strategic AI/ML products.

Work cross‑functionally to gather feedback from supply chain, engineering and product managers and ensure the latest cost roll up reflects known engineering changes.

Own the cost reduction roadmap by engaging owners across commodities and communicate progress to leadership through written and verbal updates.

Deliver AWS’s cost objectives through a detailed understanding of all cost drivers and bill of material reviews.

Inform and influence senior leadership about business status, risk, and opportunities via written narratives.

Prepare and present detailed data‑driven business reviews with senior management, focused on procurement/sourcing execution and continuity of supply.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.

5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of program, project, product management or experience leading a product implementation process.

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience in program, project, product management or leading a product implementation process.

Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers or related technology companies.

Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations.

Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.

Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.

Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company.
