Assistant Project Engineer

Responsibilities
Support Project Estimating: Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to assist in preparing material takeoffs and basic cost estimates.
Assist With Project Coordination: Help project managers communicate with architects, suppliers, and field teams to keep schedules, submittals, and project tasks on track.
Help Manage Material Procurement: Gather pricing, prepare purchase requests, and support material buyouts to ensure materials are ordered correctly and delivered on time.
Prepare and Track Submittals: Organize and submit product data, shop drawings, and samples; maintain logs to track approvals and updates.
Maintain Project Documentation: Keep project files organized, update logs and tracking sheets, and assist with RFIs, change orders, and general project paperwork.
Provide Field Support: Coordinate material deliveries, respond to site inquiries, and assist with resolving routine technical questions during installation.
Assist With Quality and Safety Compliance: Help monitor that materials and installations meet project requirements and support adherence to job-site safety expectations.
Support Project Closeout: Help prepare as-built documentation, warranties, and final project records at the end of the job.
Job Requirements A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is required, plus 6 months of experience.
