Executive Director – Hunt 2 Heal Hunt 2 Heal is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide accessible, safe and comfortable outdoor experiences to people with physical disabilities to improve mental health. A barrier free lodge and 640 acres of accessible land provide an outdoor haven for hunting and other outdoor activities that removes many of the barriers to reconnect with nature.

Position Summary This unique role combines leadership and operational responsibilities for a small non-profit organization. The Executive Director provides strategic vision, oversees programs, and leads fundraising efforts, while also managing essential administrative and accounting tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the organization’s mission.

Collaborate with the Board of Directors on governance and policy matters and identifying and establishing potential donor relationships.

Lead fundraising initiatives, including grant writing, donor engagement, and sponsorships.

Build partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies.

Oversee program development, delivery, and evaluation.

Supervise staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.

Administrative & Accounting Support

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.

Assist with monthly reconciliations and prepare financial reports for the Board.

Manage donor database and prepare acknowledgment letters.

Handle correspondence, scheduling, and general office tasks.

Support event logistics and fundraising activities as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, business administration, accounting or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit or similar setting.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong skills in fundraising, financial management, and community engagement.

Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
