Stanton House are partnering with a fast-growing energy technology organization that is designing and deploying modular power solutions for industrial customers globally. As the business transitions from research and development into active construction and international deployment, its IT environment is expanding rapidly in both scale and complexity.
We are recruiting a Director of IT to build a secure, reliable, and scalable technology foundation to support a highly technical, engineering-driven organization. This role will oversee corporate IT systems, network operations, end-user support, identity and access management, and the broader technology environment across offices, laboratories, and expanding field operations.
Key Responsibilities IT Leadership and Strategy
Build and execute an IT roadmap that supports a rapidly scaling energy technology organization
Establish core IT processes, including governance, compliance, and access management
Partner with Engineering, Security, and Operations to ensure IT systems meet company-wide needs
Infrastructure Management
Oversee corporate networks, servers, cloud services, and collaboration tools
Maintain secure and reliable environments across multiple locations
Ensure systems are monitored, patched, backed up, and resilient
End-User Support
Provide high-quality IT support to employees across engineering, operations, and business teams
Manage onboarding and offboarding, device lifecycle, and help desk operations
Ensure a smooth, secure, and consistent user experience across all IT systems
Systems Administration
Configure and maintain servers, storage, identity systems, and enterprise applications
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls with precision
Maintain clear documentation for all IT systems and processes
Technology Evaluation and Vendor Management
Recommend tools and technologies that improve productivity, reliability, and security
Manage vendor relationships, licensing, contracts, and IT budget considerations
Qualifications required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
6+ years of experience supporting IT environments in scaling organizations
Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, software, cloud platforms, and endpoint management
Experience supporting technical or engineering-focused teams
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to lead projects and manage budgets
Preferred
Experience in regulated industries such as energy, manufacturing, or industrial technology
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO)
Experience supporting distributed teams or multi-site environments
Prior experience building or leading small IT teams
