Carr’s Hill is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Private Equity Associate. In this role, you will work closely with the firm's senior professionals to execute investment strategies, conduct due diligence, and actively manage portfolio companies. As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the investment process, from deal sourcing and execution to portfolio management and value creation. This is a long-term opportunity to join a growing team and strong candidates would have the ability to advance beyond the Associate role over time. Responsibilities
Perform thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, customer and competitor analysis, growth prospects, and risk assessment. Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure and negotiate investment transactions. Support the ongoing management and monitoring of portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and growth initiatives. Conduct financial analysis, performance tracking, and benchmarking of portfolio companies. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reporting and presentations. Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in the industrial and infrastructure services sectors. Conduct market research, industry analysis, and financial modeling to assess potential investment targets. Assist in the development of investment theses and recommendations for the investment committee. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify potential investment opportunities and risks. Conduct research and analysis on specific industries and sectors to support investment decision‑making. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (Pre‑MBA candidates are preferred). 2‑4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or related fields. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and investment analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare compelling investment materials and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Passion for investing, entrepreneurship, and the lower middle‑market sectors.
