LHH is seeking an experienced
RFP and Proposal Manager
to lead and execute strategic proposal efforts. This role is a key part of the business development team, acting as both a strategic advisor and project manager to deliver compelling, client-focused materials that go beyond standard responses.
Location is flexible, with preference for Chicago, Atlanta, or Kansas City.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end RFP process for multi-practice and panel counsel opportunities—from intake through submission—ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
Collaborate with attorneys, leadership, and cross-functional teams (marketing, pricing, HR, etc.) to craft persuasive proposals that showcase the firm’s strengths and value.
Develop and refine content, maintaining consistency in tone, accuracy, and visual presentation while creating original, client-centered messaging.
Leverage technology tools (CRM, databases) to track opportunities, manage content, and analyze outcomes for continuous improvement.
Monitor results and implement best practices to enhance proposal success and support broader client engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in legal (preferred) or professional services.
Exceptional project management, writing, and editing skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM and marketing databases.
