Our Client, a EV Manufacturer company, is looking for an Engineering & IT - Technical Project/Program Manager 2 for their Tempe, AZ location.
Responsibilities
The main function of a Technical Project/Program Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities including project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors The Technical Program Manager drives complex, cross-functional IT programs that enable manufacturing excellence, logistics optimization, and digital transformation. This role leads end-to-end delivery for enterprise platforms and integrations across SAP S/4HANA, PLM/MES, and adjacent systems, translating business outcomes into technical execution while ensuring schedule, scope, budget, and quality are met. Reports into the IT PMO under the Program Management lead; partners closely with portfolio managers across Factory Systems and Enterprise Platforms. Program ownership: Lead planning, execution, and delivery for factory systems initiatives including SAP S/4HANA enhancements, PLM/MES integrations, infrastructure modernization, and data conversion. Stakeholder management: Serve as the primary liaison between Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT. Orchestrate architecture and design walkthroughs; map dependencies across integration, cloud, security, and infrastructure services. Vendor and partner coordination: Manage third-party partners and SIs, ensuring deliverables meet SLAs and documentation standards. Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods appropriately; promote Agile maturity and continuous improvement. Test, release, and operations readiness: Lead UAT planning and execution; enforce runbook quality and operational handoffs. Value realization: Define KPIs and ROI measures; provide concise leadership updates and executive readouts. Compliance and security: Ensure security, privacy, and policy requirements are integrated into project plans and release gates. Core Competencies

Bachelor\'s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. PMP or PMI certification 2-4 years experience Proven project management experience People management and team building skills Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment Experience leading enterprise IT programs with measurable outcomes. Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA in manufacturing/logistics contexts. Strong command of Agile and traditional delivery methods; hands-on use of Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendors/partners. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Automotive or discrete manufacturing experience. Experience coordinating vendor-led implementations while owning internal technical responsibilities. Expertise in release management, cutover planning, and hypercare.
