Senior Techno-Functional Consultant
to lead a high-impact platform transformation initiative within their client’s capital markets division. This role focuses on replacing the existing internal margin calculation engine with the
XTP (eXtended Trading Platform) , ensuring a seamless migration and continuity of accurate margin calculations across asset classes.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in
Exchange Traded Derivatives , strong experience with
margin methodologies
(e.g., VaR, SIMM, Stress), and a solid background integrating with
Ion/XTP trading platforms . Prior experience with GMI and margin systems in large-scale financial institutions is highly desirable.
Requirements and Qualifications
Lead an
Agile development team
in the delivery of a strategic margin platform migration initiative.
Act as the
techno-functional SME for margin engines supporting Exchange Traded Derivatives such as
Futures, Options on Futures, and Cleared Derivatives .
Design and implement solutions that integrate
positions, market data, collateral, and margin data
from upstream systems into the XTP platform.
Ensure robust support for
margin computation models , including
VaR, SIMM, Stress, and internal margin models .
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to
maintain accuracy and continuity
of existing margin calculations post-migration.
Provide oversight and input into
integration design with Ion/XTP (Fidessa)
platforms.
Conduct
gap analysis, functional reviews , and end-to-end validation of margin processes during and after the platform transition.
Document system workflows, functional requirements, and test strategies to support successful implementation.
10+ years of experience
working with margin systems in the capital markets domain.
Hands‑on experience with
GMI (Global Margining Interface)
and/or similar internal margin engines.
Strong functional knowledge of
Exchange Traded Derivatives
and related margin processing.
Direct experience integrating with
Ion/XTP (Fidessa)
trading platforms.
Deep understanding of risk-based margin methodologies, including
VaR, SIMM, and Stress Testing .
Proven ability to operate in fast-paced,
cross-functional Agile environments .
Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
