Interim Accounting Manager
to join their team on a contract basis.
Title Interim Accounting Manager
Location Hybrid - Alexandria, VA
Hourly Rate $50.00-$55.00/hour
Requirements NetSuite, Non-Profit Industry
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely month-end close by preparing journal entries, creating and maintaining support schedules, preparing account reconciliation, and maintaining the monthly close schedule.
Manage fixed asset accounting and ensure ASC 842 lease compliance.
Manage the general ledger for areas of responsibility in accounting, to include prepaid amortization, monthly accruals and deferrals, valuation estimations, and support other members of the department where help is needed.
Understand and support accounting policies and internal controls.
Provide support in working with external auditors for the annual audit, including preparation and submission of PBCs, providing explanations, and follow up on action items.
Administer and maintain ERP system, work with external consultants to ensure data integrity and operational effectiveness.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support schedules for the audited financial statements and Form 990.
Other duties as assigned.
