We’re looking for an experienced and driven Project Director to lead the successful delivery of our complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects. In this leadership role, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, from tendering and commercial negotiation to engineering, construction, commissioning, and customer handover. Your work will be central to VYNCKE’s commitment to operational excellence, strategic growth, and customer satisfaction.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and procurement specialists.
Oversee each phase of the project, from engineering through commissioning, ensuring high-quality delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Act as a key link between engineering, operations, procurement, and site execution, aligning projects with company strategy and performance goals.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Identify and manage risks, drive solutions, and make confident decisions in a complex and international project landscape.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
About you
We imagine our ideal candidate would: Hold a master’s degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, industrial, civil, or electrical), industrial sciences, or an equivalent technical discipline. Project management certifications (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2) are considered a plus. Bring min. 8 years of experience managing complex, high-value EPC or technical projects across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and automation scopes. Have a strong track record in international B2B industrial environments, with experience navigating cross-border execution and global stakeholder(customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams) coordination. Have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools, including budgeting, scheduling, contract handling, risk mitigation, KPI tracking, and resource planning. Demonstrate maturity in leading negotiations, managing customer relationships, handling commercial discussions, resolving conflicts, and maintaining long-term partnerships with both customers and subcontractors.
