Sysco Northeast Rdc
Leveraging globally standard change management processes, the Sr. Manager, Change Management will drive the strategic planning and execution of change management for initiatives with an impact on the field. This role will help govern and implement change management plans that enable the field to implement changes by minimizing business disruption, reducing resistance, maximizing colleague engagement, and driving faster adoption of the changes to deliver intended results.
Duties and Responsibilities Change Management:
Partners with business and project leaders to support the successful implementation of field-impacting initiatives through thoughtful change strategies. Executes project-based change deliverables, including visioning, stakeholder engagement, change risk, readiness assessment, communications, organizational impact analyses, alignment and transition, and sustainability.
Driving Results:
Ensures sustainability of initiatives with specific follow-up action plans, including post-initiative measurement and assessment. Tracks adoption of changes and addresses resistance and performance gaps to drive desired outcomes.
Relationship Management:
Builds relationships with cross-functional teams to understand organizational priorities and ways of working to design and implement tailored change plans. Proactively identifies potential people risks and creates action plans to mitigate.
Standards & Governance:
Applies Sysco’s change management approach and methodology. Upholds uniform standards for project readiness and field execution, guaranteeing that all initiatives meet the necessary criteria for successful implementation and change adoption in the field. Serves as an ambassador for the Air Traffic Control process, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure that all deployments are field-ready.
Education Required Bachelor’s degree required or relevant Sysco experience in lieu of a degree.
Education Preferred Advanced degree in Business, Communications, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Human Resources
Experience Required 5-7 years professional experience with demonstrated progressive levels of leadership experience
5+ years of change management experience
3+ years of experience working on complex projects, results-driven or field engagement type role with a focus on go-to-market strategies
Experience Preferred Change Management professional designation or certification (e.g., PROSCI)
3+ years of experience working with field teams, including sales, merchandising, or operations
Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of the food service industry and Sysco’s organization
Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics, issues and challenges
Understanding of how people deal with uncertainty and change
Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies and tools
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to determine the root cause of issues and quickly develop solutions to resolve
High emotional intelligence with strong verbal and written communication skills that can be tailored for audiences at multiple levels of the organization
Ability to synthesize feedback and direction from multiple stakeholders
Ability to influence both in person and virtually to establish and maintain strong relationships
Ability to collaborate and work with and through others towards one common goal
Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Proactive desire to learn, broaden, and deepen knowledge of key initiatives to enable business objectives
