EPD supports a wide range of customer applications across the globe, including providing back-up power to hospitals, providing emergency power when natural disasters strike, and supporting critical infrastructure for data centres, municipalities, and more.With a rich history of more than 95 years in the electric power business, our team has world-class expertise and a proven ability to adapt to changing demands. As the NPI Leader you will work on projects that shape the future of energy solutions at an exciting time of growth and evolution. This role involves global collaboration with talented teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.**What you will do:*** Own the end-to-end NPI process — from concept through to full-scale production.* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver products on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.* Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and products.* Coordinate resources and manage risks to ensure successful project execution.* Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and provide clear project updates.* Champion Caterpillar’s standards for excellence and customer satisfaction throughout the product introduction lifecycle.**What you have:**Program Management - Level Working Knowledge:* A proven leader with experience in NPI or product launch within a manufacturing environment.* Ability to own a project and drive the project plan forwards.* Lead in planning, estimating, and executing a set of projects.* Follows standard criteria to track project progress and status to ensure they are in line with program objectives.* Coordinates the necessary resources for managing efficient and effective projects within the program.Products and Services - Level Working Knowledge:* Understanding of products within the power generation industry.* Obtains information about product and service linkages with other products and services elsewhere in organization.* Explains current status, delivery alternatives and announced updates to products and services* Summarizes key features of major products or services in own unit.Effective Communications - Level Extensive Experience:* Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.* Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.* Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need or defending a position.* Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.Problem Solving - Level Working Knowledge:* Understands the importance of root cause analysis and corrective action.* Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.* Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.* Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.* Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.Top candidates will also have:* Oil and Gas experience* Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, or Six Sigma* Strong technical background in mechanical/electrical engineering.Additional information:* There is up to 10% travel requirement for this role.**About Caterpillar**Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
