We’re currently seeking a

Civil Project Engineer

to join our dynamic team. You’ll be part of a culture that values deep collaboration, technical excellence, and continual growth. As a member of our civil engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects. Examples of completed projects include Edwards Lifesciences and Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across our studios in California and Texas—and help bring high-performance, community-first design to life.

What You’ll Do: As a Civil Project Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Project Designers and Project Managers to help lead the civil design process from concept through construction. You will play a key role in shaping projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Partner with multidisciplinary project teams to plan, design, and develop civil engineering solutions.

Contribute to overall project strategy, schedules, and coordination to support project success.

Prepare and oversee documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.

Support construction administration efforts, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.

Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.

Actively participate in professional organizations and contribute to the advancement of the profession.

What We’re Looking For: Required:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

8+ years of experience across all phases of civil engineering projects.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.

Proficiency in CAD and Civil 3D.

Strong technical knowledge of industry-standard engineering software.

Enthusiasm for a multidisciplinary design process and collaborative team environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead civil design efforts with guidance from Project Managers and Directors.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity.
