Job Overview
As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you’ll develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch associates, a home‑office team and other regional financial advisors. Key Responsibilities
Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (e.g., residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media and speaking engagements).
Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies to help clients achieve their goals.
Oversee branch processes, roles and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines.
Engage the branch team to create, monitor and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability.
As an associate, you are required to complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, as well as required training to maintain registrations and licenses in good standing.
Client support to help lighten the load so you can focus on your clients.
A support network that extends from your client support team office to your region to the home office – you work independently but have a team of thousands backing you every step of the way.
Benefits Edward Jones’ compensation and benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (e.g., accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life and basic AD&D coverage. Income continuation, basic life and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to financial advisors. The firm offers a 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account and flexible spending account, paid sick leave, paid time off and an employee assistance program. Financial advisors may be eligible for bonuses, profit sharing, paid medical and parental leave for advisors that satisfy eligibility requirements and participation in the firm’s Travel Award Program.

Preferred additional professional designations such as CFP® or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and/or CRPC™ or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™.
