Job Summary

The

Director of Recoveries

is responsible for leading all post charge off activities including recoveries, debt sales, bankruptcy operations, and related vendor oversight. This role owns the strategy, execution, and performance results associated with maximizing recoveries while ensuring accurate processes, strong controls, and compliance with regulatory and investor expectations. The Director partners closely with Risk, Legal, Finance, and Operations to improve recovery results, reduce operational risk, and strengthen the integrity of post charge off processes. Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall recoveries strategy across post charge off collections, debt sales, and bankruptcy portfolios. Drive year over year recovery performance through segmentation, treatments, and optimization of internal and external partners. Manage the debt sale program including portfolio selection, pricing, diligence, buyer engagement, transaction execution, reconciliation, and reporting. Oversee bankruptcy operations including filing accuracy, account monitoring, proof of claim management, and servicing requirements. Manage external recovery agencies, bankruptcy partners, and debt buyers through clear expectations, contract negotiation, and performance accountability. Partner with Analytics to evaluate segmentation, forecast recovery curves, and measure treatment effectiveness. Ensure all processes align with federal and state regulations including FDCPA, bankruptcy law, and investor guidelines. Provide accurate and timely reporting of recovery performance, financial impact, trends, and risk indicators. Maintain operational controls and audit readiness including data accuracy, payment posting integrity, account status updates, and documentation. Identify operational issues affecting recoveries or compliance and lead cross functional resolution. Collaborate with Finance on recovery forecasting, revenue planning, and debt sale economics. Contribute to broader Risk Operations strategy and represent the Recoveries function in cross functional planning. Qualifications

7+ Years of Senior Experience leading post-charge-off recoveries strategy, including expertise in debt sales, bankruptcy operations, and high-performance vendor management. Proven ability to lead and own the strategy, execution, and performance of all post-charge-off activities, including recoveries, debt sales, and bankruptcy operations. Expertise in managing the entire debt sale program, from portfolio selection and pricing to transaction execution and reconciliation, including experience with forward flow NPL sales. Deep knowledge of federal and state regulations (e.g., FDCPA, bankruptcy law) and demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, maintain strong operational controls, and ensure full audit readiness. Experience managing external recovery agencies, bankruptcy partners, and debt buyers, focusing on clear expectations, contract negotiation, and driving high performance. Capability to drive year-over-year recovery performance through segmentation, treatments, and optimization, and to partner with Analytics for forecasting and measuring effectiveness. Seniority level
