About The Role Peraton is seeking a talented Cloud Software Engineer to join our high-impact Cyber Mission team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you'll help build and enhance innovative products that transform manual processes into powerful automated solutions—freeing mission customers to focus on their most critical and complex challenges. As part of a collaborative, forward-leaning team, you'll work within an Agile environment and leverage DevOps practices to deliver high-quality, reliable software that directly supports essential national security missions. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Required

Active TS/SCI with current polygraph (required).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (Math, IS, Engineering, etc.). A qualifying degree may count as 2 years of experience.

2+ years of software development experience, including requirements analysis, development, installation, testing, enhancement, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, JUnit.

Proficiency with Git/GitLab.

Preferred Qualifications

Full‑stack development experience (Java + JavaScript).

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue.js).

Working knowledge of JSON, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/ELK, Redis, Docker, and container orchestration (Docker Swarm or Kubernetes).

Familiarity with AWS and modern DevOps tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).

Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).

Cloud/DevOps certifications such as:

AWS Certified Developer – Associate

AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional

Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Compensation Target Salary Range: $104,000 – $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, and geographic location. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
