The Law Offices of Dunham, Ramirez & Van has an immediate need for a full-time on-site Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate should have some experience doing trials and 3 or more years of experience in civil litigation (specifically PI), including law and motion work. Our attorneys have support from a separate team of pre-litigation case managers, as well as assistance from dedicated paralegals and legal assistants in the litigation department.
*Qualifications:*
* Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school * Active member in good standing with CA State Bar * 3+ years of PI litigation experience * Ability to manage litigation cases and take them to trial if needed * ABOTA membership is a plus * Superior writing and oral advocacy skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat, including advanced formatting and PDF editing * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
*Responsibilities:*
* Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, meet-and confers on discovery issues, motions and memoranda of law * Write mediation briefs and perform legal research * Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits * Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs * Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel for settlements * Provide legal xmvmafu counsel and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process * Trial preparation and participation, and ability to develop trial strategy * Will be handling no more than 10 cases at a time
